BioFix Fresh Participates in a Circular Economy Awareness Event at the 167th Brigade
The seminar “Circular Economy for Sustainable Development: Application of Organic Composting Models and Wastewater Reuse” on May 19, 2025, at the 167th Naval Brigade concluded successfully with active participation, lively discussions, and enthusiastic engagement from officers and soldiers—paving the way for practical approaches to environmental protection right within the barracks.

With the aim of raising awareness about environmental protection and promoting the adoption of sustainable development models within the military, on the morning of May 19, 2025, the 167th Brigade (under Naval Region 2) collaborated with the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Nature and Environmental Protection to organize a program titled “Promoting the Circular Economy Model in Military Units.”

BioFix Fresh introduces a biological solution and a circular economy model
As part of the program, BioFix Fresh showcased several models for applying microbial technology to the treatment of waste and organic matter—a key component of the circular economy. Among these, the standout solution was composting using biological agents, which effectively treats easily biodegradable waste such as leaves, vegetable peels, and food scraps.

With a focus on the circular economy, BioFix Fresh shares its sustainable waste management model.
The 167th Brigade has its own small livestock farm for logistical purposes. As a result, instead of sending food scraps to the organic waste processing facility, the unit makes full use of surplus food from the kitchen to feed the livestock. This not only significantly reduces food waste but also helps supplement the animals’ nutrition.

The remaining waste—primarily fallen leaves from the camp, livestock manure, and organic waste from landscape plants—is processed using microbial technology. BioFix Fresh has introduced a composting model using the BAC CS-1401 biological agent, which facilitates rapid processing, reduces odors, and produces organic fertilizer for vegetable cultivation and landscaping maintenance right within the camp.
BioFix Fresh is partnering with the armed forces to implement a green initiative, promoting sustainable development and a circular economy.
As a provider of eco-friendly microbial solutions, BioFix Fresh continues to fulfill its mission of connecting communities, businesses, and the military in the effort to protect natural resources and promote sustainable development. The model implemented at the 167th Brigade goes beyond mere waste treatment; it serves as a practical example of the mindset of maximizing resource utilization—the core of the circular economy.
The seminar provided a valuable opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, share insights, and promote solutions for using microorganisms to compost plant leaves and food scraps right on-site, thereby helping to realize the goal of building a circular, closed-loop, and environmentally friendly ecosystem.

Representatives of BioFix Freshreceived a thank-you letter from the 167th Brigade
Through this program, BioFix Fresh not only demonstrates its commitment to developing effective and safe microbial solutions, but also expresses its deep appreciation for the dedication and proactive spirit of all officers and soldiers of the 167th Naval Brigade in their efforts to protect the environment.
BioFix Fresh would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Command and all officers and soldiers of the 167th Naval Brigade for their trust, support, and assistance in ensuring the program’s success.
BioFix Fresh believes that through concrete and practical actions like these, the circular economy model will no longer be a distant concept but will soon become a sustainable reality at every organization, in every region, and across the country.
